Vehicle of South Gem MCA torched by Unknown Individuals.

Police in Gem, Siaya County have started an inquiry into an incident when an unidentified person set fire to a car that belonged to local Member of County Assembly (MCA) Onyango Audi.

Charles Chacha, commander of the Gem Sub-County Police, claimed that unidentified individuals broke into the MCA’s home early on Monday and burned the vehicle ablaze.

“Workers at the residence informed us that unknown assailants attacked the property and committed the horrific act. At the time of the occurrence, the MCA was absent. The event did not result in any injuries, “said Chacha.

The police chief afterwards said that his officers had visited the spot and that further inquiries were being made.

Since 2017, Audi has been the MCA for the region.
