US Politics: Trump condemned for promoting violence

US politics are taking a huge turn of events as Trumps continues to promote violence as he addresses his followers on social media. Facebook and Twitter, however have condemned him for promoting violence.

According to reports, Facebook and Twitter removed his posts that seemed to against their rules. Trumps had posted in support of the protesters who had stormed the United States Capitol.

Shortly after he lost to President-elect Joe Biden, Trump has been constantly making allegations that the elections were rigged and that he won. In addition, HELLO NEWS also reported about his recent call to the Georgia election official telling him to recount the votes in his favor.

In a statement spotted by our team members, Twitter says that Donald Trump will be locked for a period of 12 hours. However, Trump would be permanently suspended from using Twitter if he posts any violations.

Additionally, Facebook says Trump is prohibited from posting anything in the next 24 hours. They labeled his posts as a threat and would continue fuelling violence within the US.

Previously, Twitter flagged posts by the US President saying that they are misleading after he made continuous claims that the election was rigged.

President-elect Joe Biden will be sworn in as President of the United States in mid-January after he won the elections.

Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol while the Congress was verifying the votes for the 2020 presidential election.
