US Election: Leaders worldwide congratulate Biden and Harris

Leaders worldwide congratulate President-elect, Joe Biden and Vice President-elect, Kamala Harris for their historic win. The 2020 elections victory has caused massive joy among leaders and citizens worldwide.

Leaders like the Irish Prime Minister, French President, Canadian leader, Vice President of Kenya, ODM leader and many others continue to give their congratulatory messages.

Micheál Martin, the Irish Prime Minister, has tweeted after the results came out. He said he wants to congratulate the President Elect of the USA. He added to Biden has been a true friend of the Irish nation and looks forward to working with him in the years to come.

The French President, Emmanuel Macron, “The Americans have chosen their President. We have a lot to do to overcome today’s challenges. Let’s work together!”

Justin Trudeau, the Canadian leader, also congratulated the two elects as he puts an emphasis on the relation between the US and Canada. Trudeau adds, “Our two countries are close friends, partners and allies. We share a relationship that’s unique on the world stage. I’m really looking forward to working together and building on that with you both.”

Raila Odinga, the ODM leader, likewise posted on his Twitter account, “Congratulations @Joe Biden for the journey of faith that has resulted in this victory for the US and the world…”

According to sources, there is rift among the Trump family. Melania Trump, Donald Trump’s wife is encouraging him to accept defeat, whereas Jared Kushner advises him to continue fighting for recount of votes.

Many republicans are finding it hard to accept that Joe Biden is the President elect. The democrats have taken to the streets to rejoice in the winning of Biden. As leaders worldwide congratulate Biden, Trump still has hopes on the recount of votes from a variety of states.

Kamala Harris made a statement after the declaration saying America has chosen well and it is time for it to heal.
