
An outburst of anger in the public was exposed by Environment Cabinet Secretary Keriako Tobiko when he tore Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen into pieces with the war of words over what he termed as disrespect for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“Murkomen needs to have peculiar manners, not being out there insulting President Uhuru Kenyatta and other leaders. He should respect the President. If you don’t respect the president of the Republic of Kenya, at least you respect the presidency” the angry CS said at Loita Forest.
The environment CS who was addressing the press controversially also said that DP Ruto was only a clerk and an assistant to the president and his remarks ensued a day after Murkomen hard-hit out at him over what he termed disrespect to DP Ruto.
In the estranged war of words attack, Murkomen painted the former Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) as a weakling who landed softly at the environment docket because he could not perform as a DPP.
The rifts in Jubilee wrangles widens further, catalyzed by sentiments of Murkomen who referred to CS Tobiko as a small person in the Jubilee government compared to Ruto and had no moral authority to lecture DP.
“Mr. Tobiko you are a mere clerk in Jubilee government. You forget so fast that you became a CS because the President was trying to get rid of you from the office of DPP. You have no moral authority to lecture your boss the DP even if he is being molested by his boss. First, try to be MCA,” Murkomen tweets read in part.
Murkomen is allegedly over the media in the recent past also questioned President Uhuru’s silence as Cabinet secretaries attacked his deputy in public functions.
He said that Tobiko while in the company of his counterparts; Interior and Health cabinet secretaries Fred Matiang’i and Mutahi Kagwe had recently criticized the Deputy President for what they described as campaigning for 2022 prematurely instead of serving Kenyans.
Sentiments of Tobiko in Kajiado East challenged the DP to shelve the premature 2022 campaign through his Karen office delegations and instead help President Uhuru serve diligently the nation.
“The office of the President is still not vacant, we are still two years shy to 2022, why are individuals holding and hosting delegations at Karen?” retorted Tobiko in a deep and clear reference to the DP.
