Former Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko

The reports further say that the former impeached Governor made an unscheduled stop over at Odinga’s Capitol Hill office. But he didn’t manage to see him since he was in a meeting with githurai trader’s representatives.

Sources claim that Sonko was asked to wait for Raila to finish his meeting, waited for a while then hurried off and left.

Sonko’s visit comes amid a myriad of bitter exchanges with President Kenyatta and also raises more questions than answers about his visit.

While confirming the reports, Dennis Onyango (Raila’s spokesperson) confirmed that Sonko was indeed at Ondinga’s office but did not manage to meet him.

In a social media post believed to be run by Sonko, a post claiming Raila had called him the previous day requesting for the meeting.

Sonko’s Aid and spokesman Elkana and Ben Mulwa both refuted claims of his visit to Ondinga’s office and claimed that the former governor has only one verified account.
