Raila Odinga (ODM Leader) gives the strongest suggestion he will be on the ballot come 2022.

While meeting youths from Tharaka Nithi, Meru, and Embu he said he vowed to add more cash to counties.
He applauded 2010 constitution saying devolution was a significant gain that Building Bridges initiative (BBI) was seeking to strengthen. BBI Bill proposes 35% allocation to counties instead of the current 15%.
Speaking at Ufungamano House, Odinga mentioned Nigeria as a good example of devolution. He said with some work and commitment Kenya can reach their status where devolution is concerned.
“If I am there, I will push the funds to counties to 40 per cent and subsequently to 55 per cent like in Nigeria. We can do it. There is no point in retaining the decision-making and funds for the country in Nairobi,” said Raila.
41 counties had passed the BBI Bill by 24th February 2021 whose next stage is at the National Assembly.
Mr. Odinga is yet to announce if he will contest for Kenya Presidency though his allies have declared their bids.
ODM asked interested party members to present their papers for consideration to be party flag bearer for the presidency ticket. The deadline for those submissions is set to be 25th Feb 2021.
Current events at the ODM camp have left people wondering on what could be the next move.
