President-elect Ruto Names 54 Lawyers to Defend His Election Victory

The Kenya Kwanza coalition, led by President-elect William Ruto, has assembled a team of 54 lawyers and five technical members to defend his election victory on August 9th.

The names of Ruto’s legal team members were revealed on Friday, when the Kenya Kwanza coalition filed its responses to the nine petitions brought at the Supreme Court by people including Azimio leader Raila Odinga.

Senior Counsel Fred Ngatia will lead the team, which includes Senior Counsel Kioko Kilukumi, Kiragu Githinji, and Prof. Kithure Kindiki.
