Kirinyaga: Pastor found guilty of defilement and impregnating daughters

Kirinyaga pastor has confessed to defiling and impregnating his two daughters aged 14 and 16 years. Currently, the court will proceed to gather the birth certificates of the two teenage girls to verify their age.

The 51-year-old man admitted on Tuesday before the Magistrate Antony Mwicigi at the Baricho Law Courts. He has been remanded until a court hearing scheduled for Thursday, January 7.

According to police reports, the pastor committed the offences between 1^st and 30^th of June 2019 while the second offence was committed between 1^st and 31^st August 2020. The family resides in Kianyakiru village in Ndia Constituency, Kirinyaga County.

The lead prosecutor Patricia Gikunju asked the court to give her time to gather the teenage girls’ birth certificates to confirm their ages.

In addition, the pastor was arrested on Sunday after he fled from the police officers. However, they were able to arrest him from his hide out. He is being held at the Sagana Police station.

Currently, the pastor’s daughters have a 7-month-old baby and the other has a 5-month-old-baby.
