Bodies of three residents, a man, woman and an 8-year-old child, were discovered at the government quarters located along Jogoo Road.

During the recovery of the bodies, the man, whose hands and legs were tied with electric cables, was lying in the toilet. The body of the woman, Charity Kemboi, and her child were discovered in the bedroom. The two were holding their rosaries.
Detectives noted that the family had been struggling to fight for their lives since beddings, clothes, and shoes were everywhere, before they met their untimely death.
According to neighbors, Kemboi worked as an officer at the Registrar of Persons Office in Mathare, Nairobi County. In addition, they said that the victims were last seen on Sunday after a church service but they were not seen again leaving their house.
In a statement, DCI said that they are still trying to establish the motive behind the killing of the family. However, homicide detectives have gathered necessary evidence to help in the case. The home of the victims, which is one of the government quarters, is also locked for evidence purposes.
Currently, the bodies of the victims were transported to Chiromo Funeral Home as they await autopsy results.
