Former Senator Johnston Muthama has been apprehended after chaos erupted at the by-election polling station. The chaos erupted at Jomo Kenyatta Primary School where a by-election was being done.

Muthama took to Twitter to tell his fans that he had been apprehended without cause. He additionally says that the police have not disclosed reasons for his arrest.
Consequently, the polling staion has been closed as voters continue to wait outside the institution.
Accusations have been going around between the ODM allies and those of Deputy President, William Ruto. The ODM allies are saying the allies of Ruto are bribing the voters while allies of Ruto are saying the ODM allies are using state machinery to intimidate voters.
According to Kwale Governor, Salim Mvurya, Governor Joho and other ODM allies have teamed up with security personnel. Mvurya says the allies want to influence the voters and make certain their candidate wins.
As he is waiting at the police station, Former Senator Johnston Muthama is yet to know his fault.
