Tragedy has once again visited the family of former Changamwe MP Ramadhan Kajembe after his daughter, Ms Langoni Kajembe, passed on at Panday Hospital, Mombasa on Wednesday evening.

Sources say Ms Langoni, the first daughter to the late MP, succumbed at 10pm Wednesday night and that she had been on oxygen support. Her demise comes just two weeks after that of her father Mr Kajembe, the Ex Mp Changamwe and a veteran celebrated Coast politician.

Her admission to the hospital is reported to have been caused by the sad news of her father’s demise on August 7th; she had collapsed and rushed to the Panday hospital.

“When she received news of the death of her father, she collapsed and has been hospitalized since then. Her ability to attend her father’s burial was thwarted by her condition in the hospital. Unfortunately, today, she follows her father,” a friend known to the family who spoke to Hello News on condition of anonymity said.

Ms Langoni being the first born to the Kajembe’s daughters was said to be a very close confidant to her father, who named one of his companies after her. Such closeness is what shocked her to greater extends of collapsing and now passed away. The company named after her deals with clearing and forwarding and is located in the Mombasa city centre.

Death of has now robbed Mr Kajembe, his daughter and of his two wives, taking away from the family a total of four members in a span of five months.

Ex- Mp’s first wife Aziza died two weeks before the death of her husband, with reports from medical facility indicating that she had succumbed to Covid-19 complications. The politician also lost his second wife Zaharia four months before Aziza’s death.
