A man in Embakasi East stabbed his wife several times following a disagreement then locked himself up with daughter and killed himself.

A Man in Tassia has stabbed wife severally and afterward commits suicide

Police officers are investigating an incident that left a man dead but the wife severely injured but their two-year-old was left unharmed.

According to police reports, neighbors said that the man, who is in his late twenties, had disagreed with his wife for unknown reasons. In addition, the couple had moved in Tassia, Embakasi East, but they have been constantly fighting since they moved in.

During the attack at around 8pm, a neighbor reported that he attempted to save the family from the angry man the wife was rushed to a government hospital. However, the two-year-old daughter got locked up inside with her father. As the neighbor attempted to save the child, he too got stabbed by the man.

Later on, as police got to the incident, the man was found dead, but the child was still alive. Police believe that the man had committed suicide.

Meanwhile, they recovered a knife from the scene which they believe is the murder weapon that was used to stab the wife and afterward commit suicide.

According to Nairobi County Police Commander, Rashid Yakubu, no suicide note was recovered from the scene.

The police officers managed to rescue the child and the body of her father was taken to the City morgue as investigations begin.
