Covid-19 continues to spread across the world thus causing many companies to opt for better ways to reduce the spread. China however expects its flight attendants to wear diapers to protect them from Covid-19.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) announced recently developed guidelines for the country’s airline industry.
The recently developed guidelines by CACC contain advice on the best hygiene practices to be carried out on airplanes and airports.
However, one of the guidelines is raising questions among the flight operators. The flight attendants are required to wear disposable diapers so they would not need to use the bathroom.
Using disposable diapers might seem a drastic decision. But it might be of help since the lavatories are usually the most visited by crew members thus a possibility of reinfection among crew.
Additionally, cabin crew are advised to wear PPEs; disposable protective clothing, double-layer disposable medical gloves, medical masks, goggles, disposable hats, and disposable shoe covers for the flights heading to high-risk areas.
The design of the airplane washrooms has been a concern but Japanese airline ANA and Boeing are working on designing a new tech to make using the lavatories efficient.
