Chebukati attends the funeral of IEBC official Daniel Musyoka.

Daniel Mbolu Musyoka, the slain Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commissioner (IEBC) official, burial is  underway in Machakos County’s Muuani Village.

IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati and CEO Marjan Hussein are among those attending the funeral service. Commissioners Abdi Guliye and Bolu Moya accompanied them.

Mr Mbolu served as the Returning Officer for Embakasi East in the recently concluded General Election. He was discovered slain in Oloitokotok, Kajiado County, days after he went missing. He was 53 years old at the time.

Pathologists from the government have been unable to determine the reason of his death.

His wife Tabitha Mbolu and two children, Prudence and Isaac, survive him.
