Bodies Of Fishermen Who Drowned In Lake Victoria Retrieved

The bodies of two fishermen who drowned in Lake Victoria from the Suba North constituency of Homa Bay County have been found.

This comes after an exercise that Kenya Coast Guard Service officers and fishermen conducted at Nyagina Beach in Suba North.

The dead were discovered floating close to Chamaunga, when the boat overturned while traveling from Luanda Kotieno to Mbita after being struck by a ferry.

Earlier, Nyangina Beach Management Unit Chairman Joseph Ouma Kaseu claimed the ferry’s captain allegedly missed the boat because of poor visibility caused by nighttime.

To Homa Bay Mortuary, the bodies have been transported.
