The Democrat VP Joe Biden has picked Senator Kamala Harris as his vice towards the White House race.

If Biden’s bid for the top job turns successful then Senator Kamala will become the first Asian American and a black woman to become Vice President of the United States.

Kamala had once been a key rival for the American presidency. The Indian-Jamaican heritage, who is also a former California ttorney general had long been considered a front-runner for a running-mate.

Kamala has been known as a social woman, loved by most Americans due to her consistent fight against racism. She has been urging law enforcement agencies to reform their policies alongside racial equality.

Biden has now made it official that Senator Kamala will be his deputy as he faces President Donald Trump in the November 3rd elections.

President Donald Trump, a republican, had earlier described Ms Harris as his best draft pick during a White House news conferees on Tuesday August 11, 2020. Ms Harris will debate Trump’s running mate and the Current Vice-President, Mike Pence on October 7, 2020 in Utah.

Senator Kamala has joined the list of other two women that had been nominated as vice-president candidates- Sarah Palin by the Republican Party in 2008 and Geraldine Ferraro by the Democrats in 1984. However, neither of these nominees on the ticket.

Just like his former boss Barack Obama, Biden is trying to rewrite the American history by appointing Kamala as his vice. Senator Kamala will be the first woman of color to be appointed to the presidential ticket by either of the two primary political parties in the US. Besides the immense performance of Hillary Clinton in the previous election that disappointed her in the colleges, America has never had a woman president.

Biden said that it was an honor to pick Ms Harris as his number two, adding she is “a fearless fighter for the little guy and one of the country’s finest public servants”. Kamala had worked closely with Biden’s son, the late Beau when she served as the attorney general of California. On a tweet that the former vice president shared on tweeter, Biden said, “I watched as they took on the big banks, lifted up working people, and protected women and kids from abuse.” His tweet continued to read “I was proud then, and I’m proud now to have her as my partner in this campaign.”

The appointment of Ms Harris has proven that Biden is a faithful Politian as he had earlier promised to name a woman as his number two towards the top job.
